Before Your Endodontic Procedure

It is important to eat before your appointment. If you receive dental anesthesia on an empty stomach, it may make you dizzy.

It is important to continue with all medications from your physician. If you have any concerns, please call our office prior to your initial visit.

If you are advised by your physician or your dentist to take any antibiotic premedication prior to any dental treatment, please make sure you follow this recommendation.  If you do not have antibiotic premedication prior to your treatment,  please notify our office or call your physician for the appropriate premedication.

Avoid taking any over-the-counter or prescription pain medications during the six hours prior to your INITIAL visit. This will allow a true evaluation of your dental condition.

If you are scheduled for TREATMENT and you have had your evaluation completed by Dr. Kan, you can take over-the-counter medications such as Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Naproxen or Tylenol prior to your appointment, unless instructed otherwise by your physician.
